DID YOU KNOW...
Snotlings are loathe to wear team colours or indeed clothes of any sort! To meet kit regulations, coaches will often grab them by the ankle one by one as they run onto the pitch, dipping each into a barrel of paint and covering everything in a single colour barring a small patch on their ankles – fulfilling the minimum two-colours rule.
I have always been a big fan of red greenskins. The snotlings had a lot of skin on display and took well to the contrast paint (Flesh Tearers Red). This is also my first duplicate team. This paint scheme also set up traditional Red verses Blue rivalry which I found enticing.
Lore wise I have justified my blue old school snotlings based on their diet of exclusively blue mushrooms. I then based the red snotlings on the "did you know" included above (originally found in Blood Bowl Spike! Journal Issue 10). I don’t know if I should have exaggerated the green bit on the ankles further since it gets a bit lost in the green grass, but I know it's there.
I tried to mix up the mushrooms a bit more but the blue mushrooms worked so nicely as a contrast to the red, and since the blue mushrooms are the tastiest it's no wonder they are a bit over represented.
It might not the best team to have two sets of, since snotling on snotling would be a very unconventional match as this would result in the snotlings low strength being canceled out by one another. But it's been a fun project to make these teams.
There we have it for today.
