Old School Snotling Team Painted Linemen

We continue with the old school snotling team. Today we have some painted linemen snotlings posing for the photoshoot. In my previous post I speak about where the different snotlings are from.

First lineup group. What I didn't talk about in the previous post is the selection of snotlings. I tried to make sure to pick old sculpt snotlings that you can see has inspired the new snotling team. And if they had more than one version mad, I picked both to mirror how the new teams come with duplicate sprues.
A good example is the slingshot snotling on the pump wagon in the new set. Each of my pump wagon conversions have a different previous sculpt of a slingshotting snotling

First group seen from behind. The snotling second from the right is a reimagining of the snotling second from the left. You can see they are the same but also not the same. I found the simplistic pose and the raised fist makes for a good old school user-friendly piece to play with.

The new team has a snotling with the trumpet so I grabbed the snotling with the trumpet from both editions of the pump wagons. Using one as lineman and one on the pump wagon. In my new snotling team I'm using one as a lineman and one riding as a fun-hoppa.

The snotling shitting in a helmet felt very Blood bowl and I have two versions. I know there is at least one more but the two I have were included in the team. The second one is still to be finished... see bottom of the post.

The snotling picking his nose is very recognisably recreated in the new team.

This group and the next one are all actual Blood Bowl snotlings, making them a must include.

I love how small and whac-a-mole like they are.

And two stragglers. The robed snotling feels very much like the inspiration for the wizardesque snotling in the new team. Alternatively there was a robed shaman in the metal swarm base snotling blister from 1998, I have not managed to get hold of that snotling otherwise he would also be included in the lineup.

Team token/turn marker. The assistant coach (second from the left) still needs to get the play plan scribbled on the parchment. And the grub merchant needs some words on his sign, but haven't decided what yet. He will most likely be an assistant coach too. The snotling with dentistry ambitions is a bribe token, seeing as he is ready with his stash of that famous currency, Orc teeth.

Tokens back. My paint for the trolls has arrived so I hope to get practicing with my airbrush and see what I can cook up.

And then there are another half a dozen snotlings still in the process of being painted. Above is a sneak peak of the colour scheme of my opposing snotling team.
