Necromantic Horror has all your spooky poster-boys for you. Differing from Shambling Undead Necromantic Horror does not offer the option of skeletons for linemen but you still have your trusty Zombie Linemen. Fear not, there are plenty of other choices to make.
We have Ghouls 'n Ghosts! The wraiths are new in this edition, some skill to note are: no hands, sidestep and foul appearance. This makes them a painful harasser to deal with for the opponent.
But let's not get caught up on these small fry, we are all here for the stars of this midnight screening. When the wolf bane blooms and the moon is full and bright out come the fuzzy good boys, the Werewolves! These players with speed and claws are great when you have a bone to pick with the opponent.
Last but not least, to really stitch this team together, "It's alive... It's alive", it's the Flesh Golems. These big guys make monster blockers.
All in all, these creature features give you more than a double-features' worth of scares.
If skeletons are more your thing, go have a look at the Shambling Undead or the Tomb Kings.
Front of the box. This was the first of the teams out of the gate with the new branding.
Back of the box. Very comprehensive layout. Another 14 player box! Necromantic Horrors only being allowed 2 ghouls means this box comes with all the positionals available for the team!
The new packaging's easter egg.
Sprue. The wraiths are a divisive subject. I do like the humour aspect of the classical sheet boo ghost and the clothes line is taking it even further but at the same time they don't quite have that punch to them. I have seen many people using the Age of Sigmar Nighthaunt range to great effect as proxies/conversions. I have not decided myself which route to go down. I have been flip-flopping between the two to the point I'm considering doing both.
I don't like the werewolves supplied or their posing. I do like the Blood Bowl 2 computer game's interpretation of the werewolf. I would like to use the body of the Khorngors, from the Khorne team, as a base for a conversion for my werewolves.
To the best of my knowledge this is from the press kit but just in case "Blood Bowl 2 - Necromantic Team DLC Screenshots License: © All rights reserved"
Assembly instructions pages 2-3.
Team Transfers.
