The Athelorn Avengers Blood Bowl Wood Elf Team

I'm continuing on from my post on the Dark Elf Team last month with the unboxing of the Wood Elves. This is the last Elven team to unbox until the expected release of the High Elf team from the 'teams of legend' list. I covered the Elven Union in a previous post too. 

Front of the box. Released back in July of 2019 along with Spike Journal, Issue 6.

This box contains 12 miniatures: 

• 6 Linemen (12 are allowed in a team)
• 2 Wardancers (2 are allowed in a team)
• 2  Throwers (2 are allowed in a team)
• 2 Catchers (4 are allowed in a team)
• 0 Treemen (1 is allowed in a team) 

I don't have any experience playing Wood Elves but to my understanding, people do tend to want those 2 additional Catchers. I did buy a second box to do some conversions into Star Players and those extra catchers, but I also received a second sprue in the Dungeon Bowl Death Match box, so I'm well stocked now.

Sprue 1. It's an alright team. I'm not personally a fan of leotards but it fits with how squishy and vulnerable the team is. They die a lot. 

Sprue back. 4 clear female torsos but there is some ambiguity with the elves so I would say it has decent gender representation.
