2000p Skarsnik Armylist

As I was saying  not going for the power list, just what takes my fancy, fits my army theme and are fun to play with. I was thinking of dropping Skarsnik but felt a bit oblige to field him since he's the boss of the bosses when it comes to night goblin  fluff. Thought about making a list around what was mentioned in the Battle for Skull Pass novel by Nathan Long but dropped that idea since I don't want Spider Riders in my all Night Goblin list and felt to restricted if I was to make a list from the novel. On the note of all Night Goblin I would like that to be more of a theme than restriction so the rock lobba crew simply dropped their cloaks since it gets to hot to work in those since they do quite heavy labor. But there is no good reason for spiders with half nude goblins riding around in the snowy north of troll county. However I'm quite keen on the idea of Night Goblins on wolfs tho.

So here comes the list:

Night Goblin Great Shaman lvl4
sum 450 - 22,50%

Night Goblin Big Boss Battle standard bearer, Flaming Banner
Night Goblin Big Boss on Great Cave Squig, light armor, shield
Night Goblin Shaman lvl1
Sum 199 - 9,95%

39 Night Goblin Spears - full command, nets + 2x fanatics
43 Night Goblin Hand Weapons - full command, nets + 2x fanatics
29 Night Goblin Bows - full command 1x fanatic
Sum 638 - 31,90%

18 Squig Herd
7 Chicken Hoppers
7 Chicken Hoppers
Sum 348 - 17,40%

1 Doom Diver
1 Pumpwagon - spiky roller
2x Manglers Squig
1 Rock lobber - bully
Sum 365 - 18,25%

Total 2000

Battle postponed due to Zombies

So the army all packed and ready for departure. Tickets booked and gets a call from my friend via Skype. My greeting gets a rasping hissing response from my coughing zombified friend. So it doesn't look to good but we might get a game in over universal battle if he fills a bit better in a few days.

If you don't know what universal battle is check it out at www.universalbattle.com It makes it easy to get a game in even if it's geographically inconvenient or like in this case your mate gets bit by zombies. It's an shared table top where you could move around a virtual representation of your army, a built in dice roller and other necessary tools, just add Skype and you are ready to go, there is a chat if you don't want to use Skype for some reason but I find text conversation tedious and a bit antisocial.

I'll try to post my army list tomorrow since it's done. It's no power list, simply some stuff I like to field, fits my army theme and just what takes my fancy.

The main bulk of the army. So yep not all painted but I'm working on it and no point of rushing to get it done if it gets all sloppy and not properly painted. We feel it's better to take time and get satisfied with the result.

Some cutting & converting

Ok more like weapon swapping but that doesn't sound as catchy.
So what we will be doing is just a easy weapon swap for the battle for skull pass spear goblin to hand weapon.

So Started out checking what I already pair together and looked what faces and shields where already paired. I won't go in to detail about this process since I already done in my Comparison of Battle for Skull Pass and the Night Goblin Box

Get out your bone saw and saw the spear arm off.

I would recommend to pin the arm, but you could just glue it in place. And that easy you got a hand weapon goblin. This leaves you bodies in the regiment box for differently posed archers, spear men, nets and stuff to vary your Skull Pass.

Depending on the angel you cut of the spear arm you might need to do some filling with green stuff for a smother fit. I made some green stuff pouches to some goblin from the night goblin box, while the green stuff where out. No master pieces but practice makes master as they say.

Quite easy, make a tear shape bob press it at a point to the belt. Poke something with a point down where the opening would be and the ad some fold to the top and maybe some wrinkles to the lower part of the pouch.  Don't know if I make any sense but hope it could help a little.

I did receive a request for a battle review from one of my readers Arzug.

He requested a battle report of this battle but since my friend and I decided not to write a battle report and it's over a year ago the best I could do for Arzug was to offer that I'll arrange to have a new match, and write a report this time around.

So this month I'll try to get together with my warhammer buddy and have a clash of the goblins write a report and with a littel luck have it posted up here before july.

So if you have any wishes or request it pays off leaving a comment or contacting me via the contact page

But as I promised there will be a post about cutting & converting some skull pass goblins before the battle report will be up.

And just a random pic of two archers :)
