No I’m not starting a tribute band.
My trusty Frank’n’Stein fleshgolem of a computer, from mid 2012, kicked the bucket last Friday. I got my apothecary bag out and got stuck in. I replaced a fan that had been scraping along (one of the last few original parts), I thought maybe the computer was just overheating but it didn’t want to wake up.
The adapter has been replaced 2-3 times, I’m on my second battery. I could start replacing more parts blind but I had the fan in stock, other parts are expensive and had no indications they were faulty before the computer bricked on me.
It has served me well. I was still able to do a bit of cad modelling with it, a surprisingly capable old mule.
But alas, it wakes no more.
So I can’t access any of my pictures.
Can’t really upload and edit the blog. (This is being posted from my mobile phone which is not quite as old as my laptop was)
It also hampers my access to spreadsheets for name-generators and upcoming lore projects.
But here are some work in progress pictures of my Black Orcs, taken with my phone so I have something to share.
Trying to find balance between black and white and some detail to break it up. Since the black orcs are known for their darker skin tones I wanted the goblin skin tone to be different so brought it more towards yellow with the coward implication slotting in appropriately.
Token, troll and ball. All got some ways to go but we’ll see how I get on.
I had to leave my work in early autumn due to health reasons and am still working towards recovering.
This does make the computer situation a bit difficult. I got some bits up for grabs on the trade page any sales of those would help towards a replacement computer sooner. If none of that is of interest to you I would appreciate any straight up donations or purchases through my affiliate link with elements games.
