I tell you they are sorcerous constructs, lacking volition of their own. Without another's will to drive them, they would stand nearly motionless for hours, though I grant their oozing forms may continue to churn slowly, but that is only indicative of their natural state. They are mindless killers, not unlike certain of the lower forms of the undead. However, I think their elemental nature makes them far more dangerous than any mere skeleton.
